Home tab, under Call everyone: tap Dinner.
Pick who you call. If you want, record your voice: Save.
Tap Send.
Your message fills their whole screen, with a countdown. At zero, their phone takes a break.
💡 You see who answers Coming!. Not seen? The call comes back every 30 seconds. Calls and emergency numbers always stay open.
Want the whole family screen-free during the meal?
Home tab: tap Family break. The kids' phones go on a break.
To stop before the end: End.
iPhone You too? Settings › Me too during family break › Turn on for my iPhone.
Want the break to start by itself (homework, bedtime)?
Settings › Moments.
Tap a moment (for example Bedtime) or Create a moment.
Tick Also every day at a set time and pick the times.
What goes on break?: Everything, By family or By app. Then Save.
💡 With Everything, calls and emergency numbers stay open.
Want to know where your kids are?
Location is off at the start. Home tab: tap your child's name to open their page.
In Protection, tick Location (they can see it in their app), then Save.
On their phone, they tap Share my location and pick “Always”.
All set: Home tab › the Where are they? map. Their location, their battery and their trips.
💡 Your child knows: it says so in their app.
Want to know when they get to school?
Go there: to the school, the sports club…
Settings › Places. Type the Place name and set the Radius.
Tap Save here. For your home, tick This is our home.
💡 They arrive, they leave: you get a message. Their location must be on (see the card just above).
Want to limit their screen to 2 hours a day?
Home tab: tap their name to open their page.
In Daily time limit, tick Set a daily limit and set the time.
Tap Save.
💡 On Android, you also see the time already used today. On iPhone, Apple doesn't give it to the app.
Want to limit TikTok to 30 minutes a day?
Open their page › Limit per app.
Android Type “TikTok” in Search for an app on their phone and tap it. iPhone Write “TikTok” and tap Add a limit.
Set 30 minutes, then Save.
iPhone Then, on their iPhone, with them: they tap Choose the app with your parents, and you type the 4-digit code you get.
💡 At 30 minutes, TikTok takes a nap until midnight. The rest of the phone still works. On iPhone, Apple only lets you pick the app on the child's phone: that's why you do it with them.
Did they do well? Give them some time.
Open their page.
In Unlock their screen, pick the minutes with − and +.
Tap Unlock 30 min: their screen unlocks right away.
💡 The time bank button (+30 min) puts the time aside: they use it when they want. You can also send them A sweet note, full screen.
Your child wants more time?
They ask you from their app: you get a notification.
Home tab: tap the orange strip of waiting requests.
Answer Yes or No.
💡 During a break, they can ask 5 more minutes? (3 times at most). You answer Yes or No, wherever you are in the app.
Want them to tidy their room?
Home tab › Mission.
Tap an idea or write The mission. Set They win and the Proof required: 1 photo or 2 photos.
For who?, then Send the mission.
They send their photo: you tap Confirm. Their minutes arrive by themselves.
They want more screen time? Challenge them.
Challenges tab › Start a challenge.
Against who?, then Which game?.
Tap Send the challenge.
💡 If they beat you, they win the planned minutes. If they lose, they get a forfeit. One rematch only, then a tie-breaker if it's a draw.
Want to see how their week went?
Settings › Your week.

Open their page › Protection.
Block adult websites is already ticked.
Android If you want, also tick See website history and Dangerous content alerts (just the sentence). Then Save.
Android Then, on their page: Websites visited.
💡 You see the names of the websites, never the pages. An alert only shows the sentence in question, never the whole conversation. Your child knows: talk about it with them.
Want a phone basket by the front door?
Settings › The basket › Create my basket.
Tap Write the NFC sticker, hold an NFC sticker near your phone, then stick it in the basket.
No NFC? Printable QR.
💡 The kids put their phone on it: break time. It's explained in the kids' part. The sticker: a blank “NTAG215” NFC sticker, a few dollars on Amazon.
Separated parents? Two homes.
The other parent installs Joya Home and creates their home.
You: open your child's page › Two homes › Create the code (good for 7 days) › Share the code.
The other parent: Settings › Two homes. They type the code › Add the child to my home.
The rules of the home where your child is are the ones that count: Going to the other parent, They're with me.
💡 Each parent only sees their own home. One subscription is enough.

The list is always true: it changes when your parents change a setting.
They never see all your conversations, or your photos.
💡 When something changes, the What your parents can see screen shows you. Tap Got it. You can always talk about it with them.

The weekly math test
Once a week, Me tab: on the math test card, tap Let's go!.
20 sums, against the clock. Don't leave the app during the test.
A good score = screen minutes!
💡 Your parents need to be there? Tap Tell my parents: they start the test.
Good to know
Got a problem, or feeling scared?
Hold your finger 2 seconds on the red SOS button.
The alert goes to your parents right away, with your battery and your location (if your phone knows it).
You see when they've seen it.
💡 Real danger? Tap Emergency: it calls the emergency number of your country.
Putting your phone in the basket?
iPhoneMe tab: tap Put my phone in the basket, then Put my phone down, and put it on the sticker.
Android Put your phone, on and unlocked, on the sticker: the app opens by itself.
To take it back: when the break is over, put it on the sticker again.
On the child's phone, tap the pink banner: the setup opens again. With a parent, redo the step that isn't ticked anymore. On your side, you got a message right away, and the Home screen shows Protection off until it's fixed.
On iPhone, the Screen Time permission doesn't go through
A parent approves it, with their Apple ID, not the child's. The child's iPhone must be in your Family Sharing, with its own child Apple Account. Without Family Sharing, the protection works, but the app can be deleted.
I don't get the notifications
In your phone's settings, go to Notifications › Joya Home and allow them. On the child's phone, the Notifications step of the setup must be done (in the phone's settings: Notifications › Joya Home Kids).
I can't see my child on the map
Location is off at the start. On their page, tick Location (they can see it in their app), then Save. On their phone, Joya Home Kids' location must be set to “Always”.
I can't see the websites visited, or the time per app
These two features work on Android only: Apple doesn't allow them for any app on iPhone. On Android, they are off at the start: on their page, tick See website history or See time per app, then Save.
The code doesn't work
A code works only once, and it expires. Create a new one: Settings › Add someone › Create the code.
The basket doesn't react
Check that the phone's NFC is on. iPhone First tap Put my phone down, then hold the top of the phone near the sticker. Android The screen must be on and unlocked. If not, there's still the QR: Scan the basket QR.
The weekly math test says “Not turned on yet”
You need to turn it on: open your child's page, tick Turn on the weekly math test, then Save.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot your password?: we send you a 6-digit code, good for 15 minutes. Check your spam folder too.

Not working?
A pink banner says “Protection is off”
On the child's phone, tap the pink banner: the setup opens again. With a parent, redo the step that isn't ticked anymore. On your side, you got a message right away, and the Home screen shows Protection off until it's fixed.
On iPhone, the Screen Time permission doesn't go through
